What this covers

Smart Form is a lead-qualification form that businesses ("site owners") embed on their websites. When you fill in one of those forms, this page explains what happens to what you type. Smart Form is operated by BetterStory (betterstory.co).

What we collect when you fill in a form

Your answers to the form's questions, and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address.

If your email address belongs to a business domain, we may read that domain's public website pages to give the site owner context about your company. We only read pages anyone could open in a browser. We do not log into anything, and we do not buy data about you.

Basic technical information (such as your IP address) used only to protect the service from abuse.

How AI is involved

Your answers are processed by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) to choose the form's next question and to summarize your answers for the site owner. The AI writes a short brief so the site owner understands what you said. Your answers are not used to train AI models.

Who sees your information

The site owner whose form you filled in: they receive your answers, your contact details, and the AI-written summary.

Our service providers, only as needed to run the product: hosting (Vercel), database (Railway), AI processing (Anthropic), and email delivery (Resend).

Nobody else. We do not sell or rent your information.

How long we keep it

Submissions are kept so the site owner can follow up with you and see their lead history. If you want your submission deleted, email us or the site owner and we will remove it.

Your choices

You can stop a form at any point before giving your email; incomplete sessions carry no contact details.

To access, correct, or delete your data, email privacy@betterapps.site and include the website where you filled in the form.

Site owners

If you embed Smart Form on your site, you are responsible for telling your visitors about your own data practices and for having a lawful basis to collect their information. Smart Form processes visitor data on your behalf to deliver the service described here.
